NATURAL PESTICIDES: HAPPY GARDENING

You can buy organic vegetables fruits but, you can’t buy the happiness of growing your own food, consuming them and sharing them. They are very healthier too. Nowadays most people have realized the value of growing food in their households. That rate should be developed day by day. When you see, flowers blooming in your plants, heavy branches with fruits, healthily grown vegetables, you will be amazed by how much happiness gardening can gives to you. Happy gardening is not an easy task. Weeds and insects that harm your crops are the main problem after planting the seeds.

Natural solutions for pests

Neem oil pesticide 😊

Neem oil is effective against various common insects and it can combat mildew and other fungal diseases. It can break down any phase of life cycle of an insect. It is totally non-toxic, inexpensive and it is a long-term solution too. 

  • Mix 5 ml of neem oil, 2 ml of mild liquid soap, 1l of water. 
  • Put the mixture in to a spray bottle. 
  • Spray all over the plant don’t hesitate to use it because it is fully safe for human and pets. 

Garlic spray pesticide 🙃

Garlic odor makes your plant into an undesirable place for lay eggs or eat for insects and snails. Spray it whenever you see pests. For prevention use it for 2, 3 days per a week. You can use it for any plants, vegetables, flowers, fruits or herbs. 

  • Blender 2 bulbs of garlic. 
  • Mix it with 1l of boiled water.  
  • Add 1 teaspoon of mild liquid soap. 
  • Stir for mix it well. 
  • Strain the mixture with a cheesecloth. 
  • Get the garlic water and store in a glass bottle. 
  • When you use it, take 10 cups of water for 1 cup of garlic water. 
  • Spray on wherever you see a pest. 

Chili pepper pesticide 😝

Chili has very strong taste and smell and insects are sensitive for it. Other animals and human too. So be careful when you use this pesticide. You can use chili powder or fresh hot chilies. 

Chili powder method 

  • Mix 1 tablespoon of chili powder with 1l of water. 
  • Add 1 tablespoon of liquid mild soap and mix well. 
  • Put the mixture in a spray bottle. 

Fresh hot chilies method 

  • Blender ½ cup of fresh chilies with 1 cup of water. 
  • Add 1l of boiled water. 
  • Let it cool. 
  • Add 1 tablespoon of liquid mild soap. 
  • Mix it well and put into a spray bottle. 

Chili, onion, garlic soup 🤩

These 3 has undesirable smell and taste for insects and it will chase away them from your crops. Be careful when garlic and chili using. 

  • Blend chilies, garlic and onion. 
  • Add water and cook it. 
  • Let it cool. 
  • Add 1 teaspoon of mild liquid soap and mix well. 
  • Strain the mixture by a cheesecloth. 
  • Put the strained mixture in a spray bottle. 

Try to make these pesticides at your home and use it carefully. I recommend you to test each pesticide before applying it in whole crops. Enjoy happy gardening…. ☺️
