It’s the first of little house series. This series gives us the story of Laura’s life beginning from childhood and it end by her marriage life. In the first of the series she is a 4 years old girl who help her family to struggle with life or death fight. There’s no any technology and they grow their own food, they collect food for winter, they knit their own cloths, they listen to their father’s music. There’s no plot in these books but it describes the daily routines of farm life and their adventures. Laura talks more about her father in this series, he is a warm lovely person who adores his family very much. Mother, Mary and Cary their dog Jack all of them struggles but living happily with what they have. It’s a really cute and warm novel for me.

5.Just William

Author – Richmal Crompton

Year – 1922

Genre – children’s literature

Story –

Just William is a series of books. Each book contains many short stories about an 11 years old irrepressible boy. He thinks he is not understood by parents, siblings or any adult. He is not charming, but he is very smart, clever, brave and absolutely he is naughty. This little free spirit is a stress for his father, his mother, his elder brother Robert, elder sister Ethel and all of adults who meet him. He spent all the day out from the home and comes home only for meals and the night. Adults don’t like this naughty boy but, for all the little children he is a hero. Actually, he is a hero who lives with his own happy world. William is the most lovable character in the books I have ever read. I like that nostalgic feeling I get, about early England in 1920s, when I read this book.
